Jobinterview 2.0

L Magazine commissioned me to do a series of illustrations on new ways of applying for jobs and companies using new methods to select the right candidate for a vacancy.

I came up with a concept that involves a subtle bit of humour combined with a slight bit of concept thinking. Getting the right person for a vacancy is about making the right match, which - when found - can be quite electrifying.

Self promotion was the theme covered in the second illustration. Show yourself. And why not overdo it a little bit. (by the way: 'ik' is dutch for 'I')

And finally speed dating: Subconsciously knowing you've found the right match is something that happens within seconds. Therefore, speed dating has proved to be an effective tool to get a good first impression. In this case, the dutch parking meter gives it a slightly absurd touch of humour to balance the stressed situation a job interview often happens to be.
